Web Usability
"Web usability today is not as critical an issue as it once was. At this stage, everyone pretty much knows how to design a usable web page."

There remains an assumption among many designers and marketing companies that we can simply launch new products based on previous design templates and concepts. After all, everyone understands web usability and we all know how a website should look, feel and work. Right?
That attitude is fine if you want to end up on the virtual trash heap of websites and applications that just did not make it. Usability is still the key to success of any web product.
We see developers of so many products, innovations, Faceboook-applications and other social media applications and websites (and on and on) throw their work together then throw it online, crossing their fingers that it'll "go viral."
There are a number of variables that affect new technology developments. These various factors change over time and are interdependent, including:
-
User expectations
- Alterations to old technology
- New enhancements
If there had never been innovation, we'd still be riding horse and carriages, flying in dirigibles - or perhaps text messaging with typewriters. Anytime we innovate existing products or create new ones we need to test whether those products actually work and how to make them work the best they can. That's where a company like Interpix Design, with web usability expertise, can help you.
Time after time, there are products that win because they are remarkably usable. The Apple iPhone is the first product that became popular with a touch screen - not because it was the first one to try a touch screen but because it was the first one that used a touch screen that was usable and useful - and it worked. And you can bet that Apple tested the heck out of it.
