Usability analysis or evaluation entails a no-nonsense dissection of your user interaction that applies our many years of experience in interaction design to tell you what's working in your current design and what needs rebuilding or retweaking.
In-depth user testing that prospects users relevant to the interface you are developing, understands their needs, sets those users free in the field (especially in the case of mobile user testing) and ideally probes their experiences to help them fully elucidate changes required for your interaction.
